As a first responder, your life is impacted 24/7. You are taking care of others during crisis situations, putting your own mental health and well-being at risk. Here at SV FOP Lodge 52, we take caring for our first responders very seriously. We have set aside a page dedicated to the first responder that needs to know they are not alone.
Our mission is to provide mental health support and stress management resources for first responders. We understand the challenges and hardships you face every day, and we want to help you cope with the demands of your job.
We offer Sunday worship services to provide spiritual guidance and support, as well as suicide and crisis management resources to help you through difficult times. If there is a specific topic you would like us to cover or if you need someone to talk to, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to help you stay mentally prepared for whatever comes your way. Remember, you are not alone.

Dr. Greg Sancier
Born and raised in Palo Alto, Ca., I was a dedicated (3) sport all-league athlete in high school. My commitment to sports continued as I became an All-American California Community College Baseball player at Menlo College. I also channeled my passion for innovation into creating 'Squared Up Baseball', a unique training Baseball Bat.
With a career spanning 32 years, I served as a police Officer for 7 years at Atherton PD, and 25 years at San Jose PD. This extensive experience has honed my skills and deepened my understanding of the field.
Worked in patrol, training, and the Crisis Management Unit. Worked in a collateral assignment as a Hostage Negotiator for 28 years. Earned a Master’s degree, and Ph.D., in Clinical Psychology while still an officer. Spent the last (7) years of my career working in the Crisis Management Unit (CMU) at SJPD assisting people in the community, and ultimately officers, suffering from mental illness, stress, and trauma. Have Diplomate status in Trauma and Stress.
I am the co-founder and Chief Safety Officer (CSO) of GUNSENS.com, a life-saving, preventative firearms detection technology. It employs AI and Neural Networks to locate a firearm and pinpoint its exact location.
