Silicon Valley FOP Lodge 52, a beacon of hope, was founded in 1995 by community members who recognized the need for a local organization dedicated to helping homeless individuals. Since then, we have blossomed into a thriving nonprofit, serving hundreds of individuals yearly, a testament to our collective efforts and the support of our community.
At fraternal Order of Police, Silicon Valley Lodge 52, our members are the driving force behind our mission. They are dedicated to promoting and protecting members’ rights through strong representation, constantly working towards improving their safety and quality of life. In addition, lodge 52 members also work to improve their local community through volunteer support and financial assistance.
Lodge 52 was founded on a foundation of unity, integrity, and leadership.
We are active participants in law enforcement labor issues on the local, state, and national levels.
Scott Berget, badge 4082, was a San Jose Police Officer for 16 years and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a hard worker and a natural leader. In 2021, when San Jose City employees were being disciplined for refusing the mandated vaccine despite having religious exemptions, Scott helped organize them to fight against persecution. Recognizing his determination to help people and leadership skills, we invited Scott to become a Silicon Valley FOP board member in 2022.
We are heartbroken and will miss our friend Scott. We ask for your prayers for his family.
